Internships

What is the duration of the internships?

Internships usually last between 4-52 weeks.  However,  IEP are unique in the internship field, providing short term internships in certain fields from 1-4 weeks!!  Enquire now to find out more about our short term or long term internship options.

In what areas/industries are you able to place?

We accept internship applications in almost any field.  The duration of the internship required will also determine what areas you can be placed. We accept individual candidates or also large groups.

What is the Internship process?

Send us the candidates application form, CV and letter of motivation. We find a suitable host company that matches the candidate's requirements. We arrange Skype or telephone interviews between the candidate and the host company. An internship placement is offered. IEP monitors and supports the candidate throughout the internship and provides certification upon completion

What is the minimum level of English required?

The level of English will depend on the internship sector. We have internship possibilities for all English levels.

Does IEP work with funded programmes?

For many years, IEP has accepted groups funded by Erasmus+ and other EU funded programmes.  As a sender and receiver, we know all there is to know about handling these programmes.  Please get in touch if you require our assistance in applying for Erasmus+ funding.

What other services do you offer?

Along with the internships we can provide accommodation, airport transfers, English language courses, local transport passes, tours etc. Just ask if you have any other requirements.

Does the applicant have to do an English course to do an internship?

No. IEP is not a language school, we are an internship provider and can organise work placements without a compulsory English course. This is perfect for those who already have a satisfactory level of English or who would like to only do a short course. We are the internship provider for many of Dublin's top language schools.

Homestays

Where are the Homestays located?

The Homestays are located in Dublin and always within 1 hour of the city centre by public transport.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. We have been working with Homestay families for decades. We have a rigorous selection, safety and quality maintenance process. This includes regular Homestay visits and checks, local police clearance along with home compliance checks such as boiler, fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms.

Do you accept groups?

Yes! We have been dealing with groups from 10-100+ people over the past two decades.

What type of meal basis do the families offer?

You can choose from:

 

  • Self-Catering - Buying and preparing your own meals

  • Half Board - Breakfast and Dinner provided by the Homestay family

  • We can also provide lunch vouchers.
